You are given a room with three light switches outside of the room.
Each switch corresponds to one of three light bulbs inside the room. You can turn the switches on and off as many times as you want, but you can only enter the room once.
How can you determine which switch corresponds to which light bulb?
Here is a solution to the problem:
Turn on the first switch and leave it on for a few minutes.
Turn off the first switch and turn on the second switch.
Enter the room.
Now, you will find that:
The bulb that is on is connected to the second switch.
The bulb that is off and feels warm to the touch is connected to the first switch.
The bulb that is off and is cold to the touch is connected to the third switch.
