How many plums farmer would be able to deliver?

There’s a charming little tale about a farmer in California who has a stunning pear tree in his backyard. It’s a magnificent tree, tall and proud, with boughs that stretch out like welcoming arms to the sun. The farmer is proud of this tree, and he should be – it’s a veritable fruit factory!

In fact, the tree is so productive that the farmer supplies the fruit to a nearby grocery store. The store owner loves the quality of the fruit and wants to know just how much of it is available for him to purchase.

This is where things get interesting. You see, the farmer knows everything there is to know about his tree. He knows that the main trunk has 24 branches, and that each branch has exactly 12 boughs. And each bough, in turn, has exactly 6 twigs.
