To the second customer he gives half the remaining eggs and half an egg.
He does the same with his third customer. After which he is left with 3 eggs.
By the way he doesn’t break any eggs.
How many eggs did he start with ?
Answer is 31 eggs,
To first costumer he gives 15.5 + 0.5 = 16 eggs
To second customer he gives 7.5 + 0.5 = 8 eggs
To third customer he gives 3.5 + 0.5 = 4 eggs
he keep 3 eggs with him. Total (3 + 4 + 8 + 16) becomes 31 eggs.
