In a party there are 100 people most of them like YouTube or TikTok but few of them do not like either of them.
To be precise 55 like YouTube and 44 like TikTok. 20 of them like both.
Now, can you tell how many of them neither like YouTube nor TikTok?
Answer is : 100 – (55 + 44 – 20) = 21
There are 21 people who do not like both TikTok and YouTube.
We can use the principle of inclusion and exclusion to determine the number of people who do not like either YouTube or TikTok.
First, we add the number of people who like YouTube and the number of people who like TikTok, but we have to subtract the number of people who like both since we have counted them twice:
55 + 44 – 20 = 79
So, 79 people like either YouTube or TikTok or both.
Since there are 100 people at the party, we can subtract the number of people who like either YouTube or TikTok from 100 to get the number of people who do not like either:
100 – 79 = 21
Therefore, there are 21 people who do not like either YouTube or TikTok
